Katharine McPhee is revealing in the new People magazine that she battled with bulemia for many years, beginning when she was a teenager. McPhee got help from an LA eating disorder clinic during her American Idol run. "She was throwing up seven times a day," the article says. "When she got to Idol, that's when she got serious." Neither the judges or her housemates on the show had any idea about her illness. The night before the finale, the songstress confided in Terri Seymour - Simon Cowell's girlfriend, saying, "I was always trying to lose weight and then I was obsessed about the food. As soon as I stopped worrying about the food, the weight just started coming off." McPhee says she has dropped thirty pounds the healthy way, leaning on her boyfriend and family for support.source
