One of Africa’s biggest film stars, our own Genevieve Nnaji was on Thursday, 12, 2011, presented with the award of ‘Best Breakthrough Performance’ at the annual Monaco Charity Film Festival (MCFF) held at the Hermitage Hotel, Monte Carlo.
According to her spokesperson, Genevieve, 32, was awarded the prestigious prize for her riveting role as ‘Teema’ in the 2011 Nollywood movie ‘The Mirror Boy’ which has, since its premiere, received rave reviews and several nominations and awards.
‘I’m thrilled to have received such an amazing honour from the MCFF. I put a huge amount of passion and love into every role I play so it’s wonderful to be recognized not only in my country Nigeria, but now on the international stage.
