Honor the best in entertainment and art, led Barack Obama at the 33rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC on Sunday evening, December 5. The American Commander-in-Chief, who was joined by his wife, Michelle, threw things out of inviting Honoree Merle Haggard, Jerry Herman, Bill T. Jones, Paul McCartney and Oprah Winfrey at a reception in the East Room of the White House before heading over to the Kennedy Center. By choosing this year's ceremony, told Obama that each one of them has "given the nation an extraordinary gift of art."
