Lindsay buys old Marilyn Monroe apartment

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly purchased a West Hollywood apartment that once belonged to Marilyn Monroe. The suite in the El Palacio Apartments boasts a bit of Tinseltown infamy - Monroe lived in the 2-bedroom ground-level home in the 1950s, actress Dorothy Dandridge committed suicide while living there in 1965, and 20-year-old heiress Georgette Bauerdorf was found strangled and facedown in the tub in 1944. Lohan expressed her admiration for Monroe in the past when she spoke to Elle mag in August about visiting the troops in Iraq. "I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did [during the Korean War], when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself," the Mean Girls actress said. "It's so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be."
