Fans were surprised by a couple of appearances at the Teen Choice Awards last night - first by Johnny Depp, who was on hand to pick up a whopping seven awards, and then by Britney Spears, who introduced husband Kevin Federline's big performance debut. Spears told the audience that the Teen Choice Awards had been good to her in the past, before saying, "Please give a big welcome to my man, Kevin Federline." When Pirates of the Caribbean hottie Johnny Depp appeared on stage, the crowd was so excited that they drowned out his acceptance speech with cheers. The media had been speculating about a possible run-in between the host of the show, Jessica Simpson, and her ex-husband Nick Lachey and his new girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, but it seemed it didn't happen. Simpson walked the red carpet with her mom and ever-present stylist, Ken Paves, 45 minutes before Lachey strolled through with his publicist.
