Robert Downey Jr has said he is the cheapest actor of his generation, saying, "I'm probably the best deal in town, literally bargain basement. Right now all these guys you've never heard of are making $8 million a movie, so I'm still a good deal." Downey's career suffered after repeated and public problems with drugs and time spent in jaiil.
